Well done to W.Bro. Nigel Feltham of Croydon Lodge of Mark Master Masons for completing his 10th Nijmegen March to raise funds for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Charity at Redhill.
About the Nijmegen March
The International Four Day Marches Nijmegen (Internationale Vierdaagse Afstandsmarsen Nijmegen) is the largest multiple day marching event in the world. It is organised every year in Nijmegen, Netherlands, in mid-July as a means of promoting sport and exercise.
Participants walk 19 miles, 25 miles, or 31 miles daily, depending on their age and gender and, on completion, receive a royally approved medal, the Vierdaagsekruis.
Nigel’s Achievement
Nigel says, “Well that’s it for another year. Nijmegen 2025 has been a challenge, but I finished and got my number 10 medal - it looks like over 42,000 finished.
“Thanks again to W.Bro. Dean Stewart of Croydon 198 for sorting out communications, and my dear wife Nicola Feltham for making sure my legs worked every morning.
“I would also like to say a massive thank you for all the very generous donations and sponsorship on my JustGiving page for the KSS Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex.
“Will I be here next year? Well, we’ve booked the hotel - so probably YES!!”
